Cristiano Ronaldo is the third child of José Dinis Aveiro and Maria Dolores dos   Santos Aveiro. He has two older brothers, Hugo and Elma, and a younger brother, Jorge. His father died in 2005 because of cirrhosis, something that affected the player a lot.

In June 2010, Ronaldo announced that he was the father of a boy named Cristiano Jr. Although the identity of the mother has not been revealed, Ronaldo has said that she is the mother of his child and that she is “a very important person in my life” and that he is responsible for the upbringing and care of his son.
